Attitude…Achievement…Blah, Blah, Blah

Most people have positions that require working with people. And are you aware of what’s scary about working with people? At least for the business owner, the amount of customer service our hard earned customers receive depends on the mood our workers are in on any certain day.

Phone me on the day I am going to get my brand new car: “Good morning, it’s a great day at Polly’s Pet World! What may I help you with today?” But call me when I’m hormonal and recently noticed a hair on my chin: “Polly’s Pet World. Yup, we sell pets. What tipped you off? The big letters along the side of our store that spelled out PETS?”

Call me on Friday after lunch:  “Harriet’s House of Hair. Of course! I can fit you in this afternoon. Come on down darling and we will fix you right up.” But telephone me Monday morning before I’ve had my cup of joe: “Harriet’s House of Hair. You’re getting married so you need your hair styled? Isn’t that just peachy. I wouldn’t shell out too much cash. You realize it won’t last. He’s probably already doing the nasty with someone else. How about Tuesday at three?”

Good thing I’m not employed in the emergency room. At the start of my work day, I will work heroically (like a TV ER doctor) to bring back the dismembered stuffed animal brought in with the kid suffering from a splinter. Find me at the finish of my shift, before I’m leaving for my holiday cruise trip, and I get a seriously bad case of blinders for the most severe conditions.

There isn’t any doubt about it. For many people, their mental state on any particular day determines whether or not they find their work fun, or just hell with a telephone and computer. Surprisingly, just how much we accomplish is linked with our frame of mind and how we deal with our clients. Of course, that’s regular motivational speaker stuff, but it is still true. Still, how many folks permit what is taking place on any given day impact how they will feel. I’m not really overdoing it when I declare that most people sit on their hands hoping the calvary will charge up and wipe away their problems, and that scenario establishes whether or not they are content or not. There’ll always be difficult customers, change, and tension. You can’t wait around for them to make you contented. You are responsible for your disposition. End of story. You choose whether to see your place of work as an exciting place or as just hell with fluorescent lighting. Your prosperity is dependent on it.

Law Of Attraction Relationships: Letting Love Find You

Law of Attraction Coach

Nanette Geiger, Law of Attraction Coach , writes…

A little over four years ago I found out what my core fear was concerning having and sustaining a loving, healed and healing intimate marriage. The light went on, so to speak, and ever since not only have I attained a fresh, renewed mindset to live my life from, but what I give to others assists them in uncovering their blocks to love as well.

We grow up with so many contradictory messages concerning what a relationship is. Most of these misconceptions come from our fractured family lives and TV and from deep down in our subconscious. But today, in far greater numbers than ever, people are looking for meaningful connection, heart healing, hope, and freedom from the tyranny of their minds. Fortunately, the answers lie inside of you. It is no longer about measuring up, having the right background, job or college education, circulating with the right people, speed dating or joining the perfect online dating community. The Law of Attraction is a wonderful tool for positive manifestation in your experience.

“God’s will for me is perfect happiness” This is a workbook lesson from “A Course in Miracles.” Oftentimes I find that spiritual people do not think it’s okay to have desires, goals and aspirations. This is our innate creative drive. Made in the form and likeness, it’s part of who we are to have the drive to expand and manifest our desires with whatever way is fulfilling to you. Coming together in relationships is one way we expand, heal, and remember who we are. Oftentimes I have found my marriage to be the platform for blissful personal expansion, the mirror for my unhealed ego and opportunity to deeply let go and let God. It’s all of these things and so much more.

If having mutually affectionate, thriving love relationship is something that calls to you, and once you truly understand that God wants you to be wonderfully fulfilled, creatively motivated, healed and happy, the single question left is “Why do you imagine you haven’t experienced success?” The bottom line answer is fear. Fear comes in many different disguises, justifications, and excuses. In the end, we fear understanding ourselves as the love that we are. You can attract perfect Law of Attraction Relationships when you release yourself from fear and bondage.

It isn’t un-spiritual to want love, sex, fun, intimacy, laughter, and play. It is un-spiritual to hide your passions and your talents. I get fear, I was one of the most resistant people I knew when it came to actually letting my guard down. If you want to experience your life in intimate partnership you have to take back your power, take 100 percent responsibility for your actions and ask for Spirit to take over. Obviously what you’ve been doing hasn’t been working. Einstein said, “No problem can be fixed from the same level of consciousness that created it”. You have to take yourself to a higher level. Fortunately we have self-help sessions, trained professionals, counselors, coaches and even home study programs to help us see what’s in the way of building lasting loving relationships.

A loving, fulfilling intimate relationship is available for any person who wants it. Is it always going to be perfect? No. The ego would not ever allow you off the hook that easily. But I know for sure that what you’re searching for is seeking you. So get some support to help you move the blocks out of your way, and I wish you all the bliss your heart can contain.

Staying Positive During Bad Times

August 28, 2010 by leonedward · Comments Off
Filed under: Positive Attitude

Even the most upbeat optimists have their bad days; this means that ordinary people are bound to have their down times. You may be going through a tough financial situation or a tough period with your family, you may be stressing over your option trading strategies. You can handle your situation if you take a few steps that will help improve your attitude.

You can begin by avoiding topics that impact your emotions negatively. With that said, while it’s important to talk about your feelings with a trusted friend or through journaling, dwelling on it can prolong the negative emotions. It’s important to recognize what went wrong, either with your stock trading strategies or your personal life, deal with it and move on.

Learn from your mistake and move on. Remind yourself that this is a short term phase and it will pass. Keep inspiring phrases around you where you can see them. Creating a positive environment for yourself is important because it will help shift your state of mind from the negative to the positive.

Staying active is important. If you feel like you hit a dead-end keep trying until you find a strategy that works for you. What are your options? Do you need additional training to reach the level of work you want to obtain? When you take a proactive approach this will help keep moving you forward. Avoid complaining. This is draining on you and everyone who has to listen to you complaining. If you your options trading strategies aren’t working, seek professional help. See what’s working for others and adapt your strategy.

Don’t negate positive statements with following it up with a statement about how something can go wrong. Negating a positive statement with a negative remark takes away the positive energy of your first statement. Keep your words and thoughts as positive as you can.

This means you have to choose your words carefully. Keep your thoughts, words and actions on a positive scale. This will help change your mental attitude and help change the outlook you have on your situation.

Your nonverbal communication can impact your mood just as much as your words. This means that frowns or stern facial expressions will impact your attitude. Instead of frowning greet people with a happy smile. Avoid sarcasm and any type of mean tone in your voice. All of these tips will help you adjust your attitude and stay positive even during bad times.

Going Through Grief By Writing Using The Pain

August 28, 2010 by leonedward · Comments Off
Filed under: Positive Attitude

Several years ago, I started coming up with a fiction for tweens, Belle in the Slouch Hat. It is a story about a young girl who seeks revenge after her brother was killed during the Civil War. I consciously started the story for my grandchildren; and I needed something to fill an emptiness in me as a result of the loss of my precious mother, and another special woman during my life. They died within two months of each other.

In the event that someone we love dies, we will need to grieve; there is no way to avoid it. Everyone must experience the sadness and pain in their own individual way. My avenue was penning.

After the loss of those I treasured, it felt as though something was hindering my pain and safeguarding me from the harshness and misery linked to death. To this day, there’s no doubt that it was the Holy Spirit helping me through by far the most hardship during my life. You many decide upon to call it something different, but I believe it was the Holy Spirit. Eventually after that, the reality of the deaths set in and I had no choice but to go through the next phase of losing someone you adore, the grieving process.

At age sixy-one, I sat at my computer; I began to compose, and I began to get better. I began writing a novel without the full understanding of what I was engaging in. I didn’t stop take into account the number of hours which I would so willingly give to it, nor did I stop to think there was a correct way of doing it, all I know was I had to write. Sometimes it was down-right physically, mentally, and emotionally painful; other times, I felt drained of every once of energy in my body. Occasionally, my sense of meaning and my most treasured beliefs about life were challenged.

There was clearly no timeline for when I needed to finish; and no one could influence to me when it will be finished. It required a lot of time; not a day, not only a month, not one year, but two full years.

Excluding the primary three pages of my book, I didn’t have an order, or a plot ot follow, I just wanted to write. I even built a imaginary barrier around me and didn’t want anyone to find out precisely what I was writing, except my better half.

The more I wrote, the more I desired to write. Writing gave me an avenue to cry, to laugh, and also have an adventure. Unconsciously, I had shaped my very own support group with the characters within my story. For me, it had become a secure setting to express my sentiments and process my tremendous saddness. I also found a means for me to commenorate those I loved.

Law Of Attraction: Fast And Powerful Methods To Increase Your Spiritual Self And Your Level Of Attraction

Law of Attraction

Nanette Geiger, Law of Attraction Coach , writes…

Would you like some great energy tools that have a huge impact on your vibration – and therefore your magnetism.

Laughing is truly a perfect medicine for whatever ails you. Now obviously when you don’t see something humorous, it’s difficult to cause yourself to laugh. Right? Or is it? The Law of Attraction is a wonderful tool for positive manifestation for your life.

Attempt this: Just exhale with a strong breath on the syllable ‘HA’. And try breathing through the diaphragm. The diaphragm is exercised very little in our bodies. When you work with your diaphragm and lower torso in this way, you are getting much fuller breaths. You oxygenate the blood and mind. Now try exhaling with the syllables in rapid succession HA-HA-HA-HA-HA. Bounce your belly, while you are trying this, you’ve just used the diaphragm. Now try it varying the frequency, and how much. Then stretch it out.

You can do this in your car, going to and from the office or on breaks. I realize it seems silly. But silly is GOOD. Attempt it with your friend. If you play in company, I’m sure you will both end up laughing in reality. It’s hard to do this without activating a real belly laugh. If you need the support of a Law of Attraction Coach, by all means get support! Using an independent listener to talk to will help you move away from old patterns much more quickly.

A method to raise your vibe fast is Toning. Similar to singing, but you tone for the reason of having sound reverberate through your body. You aren’t attempting a pretty sound, just sound for the sake of sound. The sound you make is the correct sound. Feel it go through your sinuses, your throat, ribcage. Feel your breath and vibrations seeping into your body. Do it for a a little while to as long as you want. Start empowering yourself right now and experience Law of Attraction Love.

Recall, these are easy and silly, fun and are only for the sake of doing. I’ll bet you’ve got a few energy tools you use and you don’t even know it. Any action you do to free yourself from feeling bland, useless, uninterested and drained. It could be squeezing or bouncing a ball, watching the birds, blowing bubbles. I keep a little bottle of bubbles on my desk. Stand up and stretch, do some hip rotations. It’s a way of tuning into your self. And remember to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water. Drinking water doesn’t just hydrate, it grounds you too. Remember your body is a bunch of energetic fields. Take great care of you on all levels. When you use energy shifting tools, you’ll be less likely to go for that caffeine and sugar pick-me-up.

You’ll begin being in the present more often. And remember, the current moment is always the best place to be.

Why Flowers Are Fantastic For Mood

August 28, 2010 by leonedward · Comments Off

Flowers make a positive impact on people’s lives, especially in the modern world where there’s less time to connect with nature.

I live in Southampton and go into the florist Southampton as often as possible. Seeing the fresh blooms is uplifting and the scent is amazing. The flower shop Southampton is probably the nicest space to be in and connect with nature, other than the parks.

Flowers enhance people’s lives both physically and emotionally and research has shown that they can moderate mood. They make people feel less depressed and anxious and improve their general feeling of life satisfaction. Seeing pretty blooms in the morning sets up a better mood for the whole day, and the positive mood spreads to other people too. Try putting fresh flowers in the kitchen and see how they improve your mood before work.

Blooms create a welcoming and beautiful atmosphere and impact positively on our lives. This is why hotels, such as the Pembroke Arms hotel Salisbury, invest in a good florist to decorate their lobbies, and why companies will have vases of blooms in their receptions and meeting rooms.

Workplace studies have also been done to show the positive effects of flora in the office. Ideas and creative output are raised and productivity improves, making plants a welcome addition to the work place. A happy workforce is good for business and encourages loyalty from employees.

People love to receive a gorgeous bouquet of blooms and they will usually show a genuine smile. They represent love and happiness and promote a good feeling in both the giver and the receiver.

Flowers are also used in aromatherapy sessions to affect mood. Some smells are uplifting, like rose, and some calming.

As well as improving mood, there are also long known physical benefits.

Flowers are beneficial in the treatment of minor ailments and are used for poultices and creams Marigold is used for healing in ointments because of the antifungal and antiseptic properties it possesses. Gargling with a solution made from honeysuckle helps relieve a sore throat.

People use floral infusions for tea to help the body and alter mood. An example is Chamomile which is great for boosting the immune system and producing a calming effect.

Finally, some flowers provide tasty additions to our meals. Nasturtiums are easy to grow and both the leaves and flowers can be consumed. Chives and Borage both have lovely flowers and are tasty herbs.

Having more blooms in your life has got to be a good thing, so why not add some more flowers to your garden and visit your local florist to see what beautiful cut flowers are in season right now.

Law Of Attraction Coach: Law Of Attraction Not Working For You?

August 28, 2010 by leonedward · Comments Off

Law of Attraction Coach

Nanette Geiger, Law of Attraction Coach , writes…

A few months ago I got an email from one of my subscribers. He asks … I’m struggling to realize my desires but I continuously feel afraid and anxious. And then there are a build-up of bad patterns of thinking, long-standing feelings of lack, low self-esteem and the tendency to focus on my past failures. What can I do? The Law of Attraction is a powerful tool for positive realization in your life.

First off, I highly respect this person for asking this question. For one, he accepts that these are his active thoughts and feelings. A lot of people I know working with the Law of Attraction, especially the so-called ‘spiritual’ people, deny that they have any negativity active in their energy. It wouldn’t be spiritual in the end. Please!

It’s essential to know what’s happening in your mind and own it. The fact that you think and feel this way indicates that it is present in your vibration. You will continue attracting situations that mirror back to you circumstnaces to experience anxiety and dissapointment. Empowering yourself with the Law of Attraction is hugely helpful for Relationship Attraction, and it’s not hard to understand.

Einstein said: No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. He was talking about releasing into the a greater level of functioning. For me this entails releasing into Universal Love and Abundance, or the Divine unifying power of Source. Wouldn’t it be perfect if we could simply flip a switch and let go and let God, as it’s said? Simpler said than done most of the time for most of us. But, you can begin by committing to a daily exercise of searching for things to be happy for. Look for the love and kindness in your life as it is at this moment. That is a huge and immediate vibration raiser.

If you can do your best to make peace with your life you will instantly be releasing resistance to your desires. Do not worry that being ok with your current circumstances will attract more of it to you. It will not. But you’ll be doing the extremely essential step of releasing resistance. You see, prolonged attention on your circumstances is causing you to attract more of that same stuff. So letting go a little and searching for things to love will open your vibration. You can’t hold your attention on something and exclude it from your vibration.

After you’ve clarified what you want to attract into your life, the next step is to find out what thoughts and feelings you actually have concerning the likelihood of your manifesting what you desire. Is worthiness an issue? Is your track record and the past getting your attention? I suggest journaling what is present in your beliefs and then making statements that soften a little with each one until you can imagine what it is like to already be experiencing what you want as if it’s your present life experience.

Mantra Meditation – Before Or After Yoga Practice?

August 28, 2010 by leonedward · Comments Off
Filed under: Meditation

It is a natural question to ask whether you should do your mantra meditation practice before or after your asana yoga practice  We want to work to try and make use of our practices and energy to the best possible effect, so what to do?

Here there are two schools of thought.

Mantra meditation is best done before the asana practice according to the first school of thought.  The reasons for this are many.  There is the gradual change of energy from subtle to physical.  You are preparing the body for more physical meditation.

The use of the mantra meditation practice stills the mind in order for the body to be better prepared to receive a “physical” asana practice.

On the flip side to this is the second school.  The second school believes in the reverse.  That mantra meditation practice is best done after the asana practice.  The theory for this is pretty much the reverse.

The second school believes that the mind and body are better prepared for a mantra practice after an asana practice.  They work on going from physical to more subtle forms of energy.  Once you have worked the asana through the physical body, the mind is more calm and concentrates easier and is thus ready for a mantra meditation practice then.

So which is correct and which school of thought should you follow?

I believe it is best for the individual to decide.  A good decision can be made after you have tried out both versions.

Observe the effects immediately afterwards, the effects on each practice and how your energy is maintained throughout the day.  See what effects both practices have on you.

Perhaps both versions of practice will have a different effect and thus each practice has a different purpose.  Once you know what the effect is you can extract that effect by doing the practice you need.

Experiment, observe and see which works best for you to obtain the maximum results from your mantra meditation practice.

Getting A Foot In The Door At The Gym For Your Yoga Business

One way that yoga teachers look to grow their yoga business is to obtain extra teaching classes.  Extra classes means extra revenue for the growth of their yoga business.

One location you can look to offer yoga classes are gyms and health clubs.

Amongst many walks of life, yoga has now become very popular.  As a reflection of this you will find yoga and even meditation classes now being taught in most of the gyms and health clubs.

In fact you will often find in some of the larger gyms and clubs a dedicated studio to body, mind and soul activities such as yoga, tai chi, pilates etc due to the increased demand and awareness on the importance of taking care of our body, mind and soul.

Search out the studio coordinator and offer to teach yoga at the gym.  You could suggest teaching yoga classes on a trail basis say for 3-6 months to see what the uptake level is like.

If the timetable is full you could look at creative alternatives.

Yogis’ being early morning people mean you could teach an early morning class before all the other classes get underway.  For example a 6.00am class.  Often this works well in the larger cities and towns where folk like to take their classes at the start of the day, before arriving at work.

Or you could try an afternoon slot or mid morning slots.  Look for times that are not during peak times and offer the type of class that would work well in this time.

Perhaps even an evening class after peak activities have finished would work well.  A lot of people nowadays like to end their day with yoga and meditation before heading home to finish relaxing for the day.

Some of these ideas could be a great way for a club that has a schedule that is full to get your foot into the door for your yoga business.

There are many creative ways to implement yoga at health clubs and gyms to facilitate the growth of your yoga business.  Find what works for you and the gym or club in question.

An Easy And Workable Guide To Conquering Anxiety

August 28, 2010 by leonedward · Comments Off
Filed under: Yoga

All of us face several different concerns and stresses every day. Top off our personal ‘normal’ daily stresses with the condition of world politics, wars, economies in crises around the globe and job losses throughout the U.S. and, well, need I say more? Anxiety has become a common state of being for almost everyone these days. Such anxiety can certainly develop into yet another daily stress in itself. If you seem to be burdened with too much anxiety, you have to know that there is a means of overcoming anxiety, regardless how improbable that might seem. Here is a virtual guide you can use to ensure success in overcoming anxiety.

Anxiety is the body’s normal response to stressful conditions. It is one way the body protects you. For example, if you are walking down the street during the night and a dubious character approaches you, you become anxious, caused by adrenalin rush. Instead of freezing on the spot, you run to the opposite direction.

However, it’s also true that anxiety is usually a reaction to intangible threats, such as worry over your kids, finances or a spat with your boss. The body doesn’t distinguish between real and intangible, and even imaginary threats. That rush of adrenalin comes on equally as} powerful. The issue now becomes different. As it is said, you’re all dressed up with nowhere to go. At this stage; rather than a brief spurt of anxiety along with a subsequent corrective action such as fleeing the suspicious character that adrenalin just keeps on going, with the anxiety continuing apace. This is when you need some practical aid in overcoming anxiety.

When your anxiety starts causing you some real discomfort, the best things you can do to have it under control is to do something physical, with vigor. That racing feeling will shortly go away if you do some chores. Scrub the daylights out of the kitchen floor. If the weather’s nice, go for a brisk walk or ride a bike in your neighborhood. Get the vacuum cleaner out and pretend your mother in law is coming for lunch. The more physical energy you expend, the {better} you’ll feel.

Should you have a full blown anxiety encounter, overcoming anxiety may be impossible. Anxiety attacks can produce several quite uncomfortable symptoms. Your heart may beat frighteningly fast; you might experience the sensation of choking or not having the ability to breathe, with painful tension in your muscles as well as in the chest. This usually results in hyperventilating. You might have heard that breathing into a paper bag will prevent hyperventilating in its tracks. Good news is it’s true. Just squeeze the neck of a brown paper bag until it’s only broad enough for the mouth. Breathe {in and out}, {as} slowly as possible. The symptoms will subside.

If the anxiety occurs on a almost daily {basis}, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor. Be aware that food allergies and food additives, preservatives and ingredients such as caffeine can lead substantially to increased anxiety. Discuss these options during your consultation. Your physician may also prescribe medications to help you in conquering anxiety. Such medications may be taken on a temporary basis, until you could possibly get at the bottom of the situations causing your anxiety. You can also try yoga.

Yoga, meditation techniques and prayer can also bevery helpful in in overcoming anxiety. In order to get your your anxiety, you must also have time and energy to unwind, regardless how tight on time. It’s your health we’re {talking} about here. Try these techniques. All of them work. Put emphasis on those that work most effective for you. One of my personal favorites, not even mentioned, involves a good spa and a great read!
